Before starting, make sure your laptop is fully powered off and unplugged from any power source. Use the right tools—typically a screwdriver set included in the package—and work on a non-conductive surface to prevent static electricity damage. It's also wise to wear anti-static wristbands to protect sensitive components.
This tutorial will guide you in detail how to remove the Dell WDX0R / Inspiron 15 7000 / Inspiron 7580 / Inspiron 15 7570 laptop battery. You can watch the tutorial video below.
Step 1
Make sure the laptop is completely turned off, remove the screws from the back panel.
Step 2
Use something to keep track of the screw designations since they differ in length. I used an old jewelry foam pad to diagram the scew locations and at the same time keeping themtrom getting misplaced.
Step 3
Pull out the disc tray, there's two more screws to remove beneath it.
Step 4
I used a guitar pick to pry open the back panel.
Step 5
Remove old battery.
Step 6
Remove cable carefully.
Step 7
Connect the cable to the replacement battery.
Step 8
Make sure to connect the cable, and screw everything back into place.
Step 9
Just screw the screws back in the same order and position as before.
