Before starting, make sure your device is completely powered off and unplugged. Use the proper tools if needed (usually included in the package). Do not force anything—if you're unsure, seek help from a professional.
This tutorial will guide you in detail how to remove the Apple iPad 6 / iPad Air 2 / A1547 battery.
Step 1
Use a hair dryer to heat all sides of the iPad's display for about two minutes in preparation for prying it open.

- Use an opening pick or plastic card to slide along the edge of the display to slowly pry it open.
- After prying open the screen, place it vertically at 90 degrees, preferably leaning it against something heavy.
Note: Do not lay it flat as it is connected by the screen cables.
Step 3
Remove the three screws from the display cable cover as shown.
Step 4
Disconnect the two display cable connectors connecting to the logic board as shown.
Step 5
Detach and remove the screen.
Step 6
Remove the single screw securing the battery.
Step 7

Step 8
Use a plastic spatula to slowly remove the battery.
Note: If the battery is difficult to remove, use a little alcohol or adhesive remover.
